So often, we spend time buying and looking for new tools, when the tools
we need are right under our noses.

Case in point – the Windows Vista snipping tool.

This handy utility allows you to:

  • capture a portion of your
    screen
  • highlight or draw a line
    around it
  • save the captured screen as
a jpg or gif file, and so much more.

Here’s how you find it (these are Windows VISTA instructions).

  • Click the Office
    Button
    at the bottom left hand
    corner of your screen.
  • Select All
    Programs.
  • Click the Accessories menu.
  • Click Snipping Tool.

Add the Snipping Tool to your
Quick Launch Toolbar.

This tool is so handy, I added it to my Quick Launch toolbar. To do so,
right-click Snipping Tool under the Accessories menu.  Select Add
to Quick Launch
.
